LARZ ANDERSON HOUSE WEDDING, WASHINGTON DC

MATT & TIFFANY - LARZ ANDERSON HOUSE WEDDING

Francophiles, prepare yourselves. Today’s featured wedding showcases grand French architecture, delicate macaron towers from Ladurée Paris, a French blue and cream color palette, and a gilded glass encased “Winter Garden” ceremony room that looks straight out of Versailles. Since we sadly couldn’t travel to France (borders were closed due to COVID), this was the next best thing!

Tiffany and Matt chose two of Washington DC’s most gorgeous wedding venues for their celebration. The Willard InterContinental, located in the heart of the nation’s capital, provided spacious and historic suites for the bride and groom to start their day. The Beaux-Arts Parisian architecture style was the perfect backdrop for Tiffany and Matt’s “First Look.” After a whirlwind tour around DC, the couple and their guests settled at the Larz Anderson House for the rest of the evening. This Gilded Age mansion is home to the Society of the Cincinnati's international headquarters and is also open to the public as a historic museum. Papier-mâché ceilings, ornate iron staircases, intricate marble floors, a serene walled garden, and a crystal blue reflecting pool make this venue perfect for any high society gala or wedding. Anderson House is one of Washington’s most elegant and exclusive wedding venues with a history of more than 100 years of entertaining - including hosting Presidents, Princes, Supreme Court justices, and most importantly, Matt and Tiffany!

To culminate their decade together, Matt and Tiffany created a wedding day that could grace the pages of any bridal magazine, while still keeping things intimate and extremely personal. With only 11 of their nearest and dearest in attendance, this day was filled with emotion and LOVE. It was a celebration of family and unity. Congratulations Tiffany and Matt!!!

Love this sweet moment between the bride, her momma, and her sweet pup Lily!

After their First Look and portraits at the Willard InterContinental, Matt and Tiffany took their family and friends on a bus tour of DC before the ceremony. We stopped for photos with the Capitol Building, the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial, and the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on our way to the Anderson House!

This entire reflecting pool scene is my new life goal. I’m not sure how yet, but imma get me one of these!

The Ballroom at the Larz Anderson House is perfectly grand yet intimate! Tiffany adorned the tables for both the cocktail hour and reception with LoveShackFancy tablecloths. This print paired perfectly with her chinoiserie vases and decor. Her vision for the day was “A European ‘East meets West’ Garden Party.” Special traditional elements were incorporated into the day like serving tea during the ceremony and using antique gold flatware on the tablescape. Yet elements like the all-white chairs, clear candelabras, and fresh florals kept the event feeling modern.

The dance between Tiffany and her brother (and later joined by her mother) was very special as Tiffany’s father sadly passed away before the wedding. This was such an emotional moment for the entire room. We could all feel his presence kept alive by his loved ones.

Congratulations Tiffany and Matt!! Thank you for inviting us to your perfect wedding weekend! <3
