FRANKLIN PLAZA WEDDING: TIFFANY & TREVOR
I’m so excited to catch up on blogging our 2021 weddings! We are kicking things off with the INCREDIBLE wedding day of Tiffany Wayne and Trevor! You might remember these two from their gorgeous Downtown Albany engagement session. We revisited some of the same locations for their wedding day, but it was an entirely different vibe…trust me, wait until you see Tiffany’s gown! Tiffany’s modern-romantic color palette consisted of clean whites and soft pale greys with hints of gold, the ballroom at Franklin Plaza was a golden glow of varying height candles, and their portraits in Downtown Albany transported us to Paris! It's impossible to pick a favorite memory or detail! Although, if I had to choose, the father-daughter dance between Trevor and their daughter Gianna made tears stream down my face into my mask...so that's definitely a contender!
Tiffany wore the same robe her mother wore on HER wedding day! Her parents have been married for over 40 years so I think this was a great way to start the day! Her mom even has a short robe for Tiffany’s daughter Gianna to wear. Sweetest “mommy & me” outfit ever!
Tiffany and Trevor knew from the beginning that they wanted to include all of their nieces and nephews in the wedding - six flower girls and four ring bearers!!! Tell me this isn’t the cutest pile of tulle ever?!?!
Tiffany wanted it to feel like she was walking through a garden on her way to Trevor…success!

Feature Request: Orchids in bouquets, always. I love love love this bouquet so much. It’s so light and airy and delicate. Even though it’s all white, it has so much dimension! Amazing work Fleurtacious Designs!
Tiffany changed up her look for the reception. She removed her tulle skirt overlay, revealing a slim and sexy skirt perfect for the party. She also let down her bun and added a dance-floor-ready red lip!!
Tiffany worked closely with Franklin Plaza and Total Events for the pipe and drape, ghost chairs, gold rimmed chargers, matte gold flatware, dogwood trees, lounge furniture, and even a white dance floor! Together, they styled each place setting with soft gray organza napkins that were knotted with Italian olive leaf sprigs. Combining traditional place cards with their menu cards, each menu card had a guests name written in gold calligraphy at the top. Tiffany’s bouquet gave a hint to the guests of what was waiting for them at Franklin Plaza…a gorgeous room full of orchids, peonies, roses, and greenery! It was magical!
This is one of my all-time favorite wedding cakes. Cakes by Susie, you really set the bar high!! This entire display was a STATEMENT! But if you look closely, you can see some handwritten lyrics on the cake. These lyrics are to Tiffany and Trevor’s first dance song “Just the Way You Are” by Billy Joel. Trevor’s parents also danced to this song at their wedding!
Another highlight of this day was Tiffany’s dance with her father. Things started off sweet and serene with “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, but the dance floor erupted with fun when the Buffalo Bill’s theme song (“Shout!”) started playing after just one verse. Tiffany’s family are diehard Buffalo Bills fans and Trevor is a….Jets fan. Yikes. But Trevor was a good sport even as he was dragged up onto the dance floor with enemy music!! This moment actually went viral after the wedding! Read one of the articles here!
The surprises didn’t end there! Tiffany had one final surprise up her sleeve, this time for her mom. She and her mom have spent years going to the Opera, so she secretly arranged for world-renowned opera singers Angelo and Catherine Mazzone to make a special appearance. Everyone was shocked, especially her sweet momma!
Every single second of this day was jam-packed with fun and BEAUTY! Tiffany and her wonderful wedding planner Christine of CW Events Firm organized the most magical day from start to finish. It was such a joy and honor to photograph this day with so many wonderful people!! Congrats you two! So happy for you!
