GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE: ASHLEY & CHARLES

I remember in the early days of dating Chris (my husband), I would think “I can’t believe I’m dating Chris Gardner.” It’s a funny thing to know and refer to a person by both of their given names. It makes them a little bit elusive or distant. Intangible. Like George Washington or Aretha Franklin. You say their names like they’re an IDEA of a person, instead of an actual person. Maybe that “idea of a person” is sitting on a pedestal. Until you get to know them. Chris Gardner became Chris and then “my darling Christopher.” Isn’t it just the most fun to get to know your person?! When Ashley McDonough became Ashley then Ash and now “Mrs. Ashley Bellini” — I’m sure Charles was having the time of his life through each transition. Cheers to letting the layers of personality unravel and the love intertwine through them all!

We had the best time exploring Grounds for Sculpture with Ashley and Charles for their engagement session! I’m a little behind on blogging so I’m thrilled to share that these two are actually already married as well! I can’t wait to share their wedding photos soon!
