This European-inspired wedding editorial is perfect for the travel-loving couple who adores a European romance but wants to keep their nuptials local. We wanted to show you how you can embrace the beauty of a venue in your own state, while still having your favorite trends from destination weddings across the world! Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, located in Bedminster NJ, is one of the most distinctive estates on the East Coast. Its English manor clubhouse stole our hearts and whisked us away to a far away land!
Planned alongside Copper + Chloe, we aimed to strike the balance between romantic and soft but also play with lots of layers of texture to create a setting that wowed and transported guests to a different country. Faye + Renee designed a breathtaking structure over the table that included billowing silky drapery, floating chandeliers, and lush florals in hues of pink with bleached pampas grass and cascading orchids for dimension. They also created a jaw-dropping lounge area from their Collective line that was filled with velvet textures, chandeliers, the most beautiful furniture, and lush flowers everywhere.
Barely Blushink designed an invitation suite that would be sure to get guests excited to escape to another world for a day! For a new play on escort cards, Erica created custom calligraphy name sashes to adorn every chair. The bride wore two different looks by Alexandra Grecco - an elegant lace long-sleeve gown for the first half of the day and then a subtly-sexy plunging neckline gown for the reception. Bella Belle Shoes made sure the look was romantic from head to toe!

This might be my favorite photo of the day! Y’all know I usually love my photos to be in color and in focus haha…BUT. This photo represents my inner artist - the one I don’t often access or show because people might not “get it.” I created this image using my Pentax 645n medium format film camera with HP5 black + white film. I placed the camera on a tripod and used a shutter release cable so I could shoot with a really slow shutter speed. Then I asked our dear bride Katie to gracefully hop-run towards the flowers. The fun (and not fun) part of shooting film is that you have NO IDEA if your vision came out until weeks later. But my goodness did it feel like Christmas morning when I finally got to see this moment realized! My goal for 2020 is to show you more of my inner artist! <3
