ESTATE AT CHEROKEE DOCK, NASHVILLE TN

Oh Monet, that magical magical artist. One of Monet’s ambitions was to document the French countryside in all the phases of changing light and changing seasons. He was also an intense landscaper, purchasing a home in Giverny and creating the lily ponds that became his best-known subjects. But the man also LOVED his flowers. The quote “I must have flowers always and always” was the inspiration for this wedding editorial. You’ll notice floral accents everywhere from the Marchesa gowns to the table to the flatlays and the bouquets themselves. One of my favorite tributes to Monet is on the cake - a hand-painted replica of his famous water lilies!

The secondary inspiration for this shoot was the venue itself. The Estate at Cherokee Dock is based in Nashville and was once the home of Reba McEntire! The nearly 13,000 sq. ft. Southern Colonial mansion is nestled on 13 acres of private property. The Estate retains the charm and grandeur you would expect, with original gardens, a luxury stable, a guest house, a pool house, an eight-car garage, and more. With a few renovations and additions, the property has been transformed to host weddings and events! If you are getting married in Nashville, this would be a beautiful place to choose!
