VAULT 634 WEDDING, ALLENTOWN PA

Once Jon and Abby decided to commit to a "wedding wedding" as opposed to a European elopement, they knew they wanted it to be fancy. For two people who LOVE to dress up, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to host their own formal affair. When I asked Abby to describe her wedding vision, she said...

“I like to think of it as Jo Malone perfume. The packaging is clean and simple; elegant and chic. My favorite scent is peony and blush suede, which I think is both fresh and floral and old fashioned at the same time.”

Their bank-turned-reception venue, Vault 634, is the epitome of Abby's description! The historic Lehigh Valley Trust Building is crowned with a breathtaking 900-square-foot stained glass ceiling, boasts authentic Hess chandeliers, gold-leaf molding, fluted columns, and a signature bar fit into one of the venue's four antique vaults. Its magnificent details have been inspiring guests since its doors opened in 1911.

While this venue transported us to the Gilded Age, Abby's vision for fresh florals and modern attire kept the event balanced. Abby's favorite color is pink, but she was worried it might look too much like spring for a fall wedding. This sweet shade of mauve ended up being the perfect compromise! Another subtle theme you'll notice? Pearls! Look closely at the bride's shoes, dress, hair piece, and their wedding cake!

After a four month hunt that encompassed five salons, six bridal appointments, and about seventy-five dresses, Abby finally found the dress: Sareh Nouri’s Oriel, a 3D floral embroidered sweetheart neckline ball gown with off the shoulder sleeves and a cathedral train. What a SHOW STOPPER!!!

This custom painted Veuve Clicquot champagne bottle was such a hit! Great work Avoir Le Chic!

Abby's family owns nine newspapers, so to pay tribute to that the couple created a custom newspaper edition for their ceremony programs!

The couple chose Faith Presbyterian Church in Emmaus, PA for their wedding ceremony. This is the same church that Abby’s parents were married in 32 years ago!
